Sweeney Todd Premiere in NYC

Last night, the Sweeney Todd film's premiere was held in NYC. Johnny Depp, Tim Burton, Alan Rickman, Sacha Baron Cohen came out for the red carpet event, as well as many other big names to support the movie and view the film.

Sweeney Todd Promo Pics, Clips and Interview

Last night I saw the trailer on TV for the new Tim Burton movie entitled Sweeney Todd. From what I've found online, apparently this new film, coming out this Christmas, is a murder-musical, with an all-star cast backing.

Starring in the movie is a veteran of Burton films of the past, Johnny Depp, along with many established actors including Alan Rickman, Sasha Baron Cohen, Helena Bonham Carter and others. You can read an interview with all the actors here at the IESB website.

The movie is about a barber who transitions into this slasher murderer. From the promo pictures it looks like the movie will have a very typical Burton-esk dark and grey look to it like Sleepy Hallow. Hopefully the movie is as good as it looks, and with a supporting cast as great as this, Burton would have little excuse to fudge this one up.
