I don't normally gorge my audience with more than one video per Daily Links, however today is an exception because I really couldn't choose between the two. The first one is a tribute to Ted's band, The Worthless Peons from the hit NBC show Scrubs. It's a well-cut video of clips of many of their acapella songs which are hysterical.

The second is a remix from a series on A&E called Intervention. While Mind Your Own Damn Business does not condone drug abuse, nor doing anything as remotely stupid as huffing this dusting stuff, the video is hysterical. Call be a horrible person, but having a clip of a woman being completely blasted out of her mind to the tune "I'm Walking On Sunshine" as she's repeating it just makes me giggle.

New Half-Blood Prince Pictures

Good morning all of you MYODBers, I have a treat for you. New pictures have been posted for the 6th installment of the Harry Potter films. As per my previous post, the movie has been pushed back to July 2009 instead of its original release of November of this year... which WB has acknowledged the fans immediate outcry, but are keeping to their guns so they can make a bigger profit. As bitter as I am about that, the new pictures are pretty awesome.

The pictures include Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Jim Broadbent (Horace Slughorn) with Harry, Slughorn with Dumbledore, Snape and McGonagall and Ginny Weasly walking into a Slug Club gathering.

Half-Blood Prince Pushed Back to July '09!?!?!

What the hell is WB thinking?!?!?!? They just released a report that the movie is being pushed back to July 2009, instead of it's original date of November 2008. That just sucks so badly... I've been anticipating this moving all summer, already watching the trailer so many times that I can recite it word-for-word and hum the musical cues all at the same time. What is this world coming to?

The reasons for the push? Apparently the movie studio is still suffering from the Writer's Strike which ended months ago, even though I'm sure they've felt fit to release a bunch of crappy movies over the summer which no one will see.... with the exception of Dark Knight of course. They're second reason is that summer releases apparently do better. While that's true, how many millions of dollars have they gotten from the previous 5 movies, all released in November.

These schmucks are killing me. Here's the trailer for the new movie, though I'm sure you hardcore fans out there like me have already seen it:

New Harry Potter Half-Blood Prince Sneak Peak

WARNING: Do not view if you do not want the book/movie/story to be spoiled. While there aren't many revealing points in this video, you still may want to refrain.

A new sneak peak video has been released from the filming of the new installation of the Harry Potter series, The Half-Blood Prince.

Everytime a new video surfaces, I get all excited for the release of this movie. It definitely was my second-favorite in the book series behind the last book.

Rowling Offering Fans Part In Harry Potter Half-Blood Prince

The BBC is reporting that JK Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, is offering a rare opportunity for fans of the book to land a role in the new cinematic installation, Harry Potter The Half-Blood Prince.

The contest, hosted by MSN, will consist of answering questions posted on MSN's website about the Harry Potter series. A question will be submitted every week from now until December 20th, when a winner will be chosen.

Unfortunately for us in the US, the contest is only available for contestants in the UK.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince comes out in theaters November 2008.

Madonna's Daughter Receives Offer For Part In Next Harry Potter Movie

Madonna's daughter Lourdes has been offered a part in the upcoming Harry Potter movie Half-Blood Prince. The 11-year-old was recently contacted by the movie studio Warner Brothers and it's rumored Madonna is considering it. Apparently the young girl already has a taste for fame and is interested in breaking into acting.

I'm not exactly sure how I feel about this, especially if she ends up as flaky and lame as her mother. Hopefully if she lands some small role she'll be cut out like N'Sync did in Attack of the Clones, or whichever boy band landed the gig.

It's unlikely though since Madonna and her fake British accent seem to have a good amount of pull in the entertainment business.

Oh well.

Harry Potter Half-Blood Prince Casting Complete

Apparently, the casting is now complete for the newest installation of Rowling's saga, Harry Potter The Half-Blood Prince. Newsround is reporting that the two young-Voldemort parts have been filled by Hero Fiennes Tiffin (age 9) will play the 11 year old Voldemort, and Frank Dillane (age 16) will be playing the teenage Riddle.

Sources also tell that the role of Lavender Brown has been cast by the British actress Jessie Cave. Though the 20-year old is 2 years older than the age for the role, the casting director found Ms. Cave adequate for the role of Ron's girlfriend in the upcoming movie. Lucky for Rupert, this means he'll have plenty of screen time locking lips. Other new cast members are Helen McCrory as Narcissa Malfoy and Jim Broadbent as Professor Horace Slughorn.

Harry Potter Intervention

This is a pretty ridiculous video I found online, though it's a little old, I still felt it was post worthy on here. The brother's comments are the best, he's the only voice of reason of all participants. If only I had thought to do one of these interventions back in college, I could have saved some friends, including myself, from being trapped by Rowling's story like being under the Imperius curse... lol Alright I'll stop embarrassing myself now.
